Games And Collectable

Human beings have always had a soft spot for collecting things, be them stamps, books or that ever growing DVD collection. One particular form of collecting, however, involves games. Many people are nostalgic for the games they played as a child and are keen to hunt them down, therefore it’s no wonder that building a collection of these items is commonplace. Maybe they remember wooden toys or figurines and want to track them down, or perhaps there is a particular boardgame such as Connect 4 or Monopoly that grabs their attention.

But it is not just old games that involve collecting. A common practice seen today is the collecting of gaming cards for brands like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokémon. For games like these, the collecting side of it is actually enjoyed just as much as the actual playing. There were also Pogs in the nineties, which involved the use of a circular disc (slammer) being thrown at a pile of Pogs on the ground, the person who threw the slammer would keep all of the Pogs that land face up. The collectable and competitive aspect of this game proved popular.

Who knows what the next gaming collectable will be?
